My Practice

Today you are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.

If you are looking for mental health counseling in the Philadelphia area, I can help.  I would love to walk with you in your journey so you may find a more fulfilling, healthy life.  As a psychologist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can’t change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life and make meaning out of your story.  By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Please contact me to schedule your 45-minute initial consultation for individual, couples or family therapy to see if therapy is right for you. The strength to step out of old ways of living is closer than you think and I can help.

Meet Dr. Kerns

I am a licensed psychologist specializing in individual therapy and maintain a private practice in the greater Philadelphia area.

With over 10 years experience in the field of psychology, and as a graduate of George Fox University specializing in integrative feminist therapy, I am currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are ADHD, depression, grief, anxiety, women’s issues, and working with people of the church.

I see myself as a collaborative, feminist therapist helping people make meaning from their lives by telling their story. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback for you to effectively address personal life challenges.  You are a unique human being with a unique story so I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
